President Biden Will Reveal The First James Webb Space Telescope Image In A Few Hours

NASA stated through Twitter that it would release the first James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) picture today, rather than tomorrow as planned.

President Joe Biden will do the brieifng at 5:00 p.m. ET, with a live video accessible on NASA TV and pH๏τographs available on NASA’s website.

To say the least, anticipation has been growing for the first pH๏τographs. Friday, NASA announced the next objectives, which include the Carina and Southern Ring Nebulae, the gas exoplanet WASP-96b, and a deep field image of the SMACS 0723 galaxy clusters.

The pH๏τographs have only been examined by a limited number of scientists and officials so far. As a scientist, an engineer, and a human being, I was impacted by what I saw, said NASA deputy administrator Pam Melroy.

NASA did not specify which picture would be released today, although it looks that just one will be. The remaining components are still scheduled to arrive tomorrow, beginning at 9:45 a.m. with statements from NASA and Webb officials.

This will be followed by live coverage of the picture release on NASA TV, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Twitch, and Daily Motion at 10:30 AM ET.
