Renault Kiger joins the tiny crossover “segment”

Renault Kiger has a length of less than 4m, with a base of 2,500mm. With this size, Renault Kiger is equivalent to Kia’s rookie Sonet.

The highlight of the Kiger is the “full”, sporty design, with a muscular fender arch and bonnet, while the rather slim headlights are located on either side of the typical Renault grille, and the taillights. C shaped.

The black roof and door sills add a strong touch to the car.

Inside the car, the cockpit is modernly designed, but somewhat lacking in personality. Kiger has a multi-function steering wheel, infotainment system with an 8-inch screen floating on the dashboard, and a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster.

In addition, it also supports the use of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth connectivity, wireless charging location for phones, automatic air conditioning with PM2.5 fine dust filter, high-end audio system, and key lock. no key.

With a capacity of 405 liters, the rear trunk of Renault Kiger is introduced as the largest in the “tiny” crossover segment. Capacity can increase to 879 liters if the rear seats are folded down.

Using Renault’s CMFA+ platform like the Triber model, the 2021 Kiger rookie has two engine equipment. The naturally aspirated 1.0L version produces 71 hp and 96 Nm (71 lb-ft) of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual or automatic transmission. The same 1.0-liter turbocharged engine used in the Clio and Captur models in Europe, produces 99 hp and 160 Nm (118 lb-ft) of torque, mated to a five-speed manual transmission. CVT automatic transmission will be available later.
