The Lexus LX 600 has been upgraded with an impressive array of features and gadgets such as: MagnaFlow exhaust, Pando 2.0 trailer, refrigerator, table, chairs, faucets, air conditioning, stove and even both… a pizza oven.
A 2022 Lexus LX 600 has been completely “overhauled” ahead of the Overland Expo West 2023 – an exhibition for adventurers held annually in the US. The 2022 Lexus LX 600 has been fitted with parts from 25 exhibitors that have been described as a “number one road vehicle” by event organizers. After the show ends, the model will appear at the auction floor of Bring a Trailer and the proceeds will go to the Overland exhibition organizer.
The selected Lexus model is the 2022 LX 600 SUV with the GA-F chᴀssis platform, a powerful 3.5-liter twin-turbo engine, and a safety system package and luxurious design. The MULE Expedition Outfitters also attaches to the rear of the LX 600 Off Grid Trailers’ Pando 2.0 trailer with 24-inch ground clearance, 8-inch wheels, available sleeping space and even support for air conditioning, H๏τ water and a bath wall. Not only that, this equipment also comes with a rear kitchen area with a stove and a pizza oven.
Besides added utility, the LX 600 has also been upgraded with ARM Summit MKII front bumper with SOLO Series 12.5 winch and new LED lights. In the suspension, improvements are applied including a new upper and lower joystick; rear linkage details from Total Chaos as well as new 2.5-inch diameter telescopic shock absorbers and coil springs manufactured by Radflo. All have helped increase the vehicle’s height by 2.5 inches (6.35 cm), thereby allowing the model to be fitted with 17-inch ICON Dynamics wheels and 33-inch Kenda Klever R/T tires.
Other changes include a new Prinsu rack that holds the Armadillo A2 roof tent and a Peregrine 270 awning from the 23 ZERO brand. Lexus also equips a dual-rotating rear bumper with large spare parts. Meanwhile, Goose Gear offers the Ultimate Chef package which includes a refrigerator, table, chair, faucet, etc. In addition, MagnaFlow has equipped the Overland Series catback performance exhaust.
“The LX has been a market leader in the U.S. vehicle market for many years,” said Linday Hubley, Senior Vice President of Consumer Marketing at Emerald. With the all-new LX 600, we saw an opportunity to work with exhibitors to develop world-class road products for the large 4×4 SUV platform in the US… Furthermore, the vehicle Off-road trailers have become an important part of the road segment. We know that the Ultimate Overland Vehicle wouldn’t be complete without the Off Grid trailer to go with it. As a result, the combination of the LX 600 and the trailer is really impressive.”
