2019 will be a busy year for Hyundai Motor Group when it launches two key products, the first Genesis SUV and the new generation Sonata flagship sedan. These will be two of 13 new models that Hyundai Group plans to launch this year.
GV80 is considered a more refined version of the Athletic Elegance design language, this design language was first introduced on the Genesis G90 at the end of 2015. Experts say that the GV80 is a revelation of the language. The futuristic design language of the Genesis premium car brand.
Genesis GV80 will be equipped with a new grille, headlights consisting of two 8-ball lights on each side. This design resembles the new generation G80 prototype.
The cabin of the GV80 appears a new digital instrument cluster and a 22-inch infinity curved screen with two separate zones (for the driver and the person next to him). Other highlights include semi-aniline leather seats, plenty of shiny wood and metal trim.
According to Carscoops, the Genesis GV80 production version will use the same platform and some engine options as the G80. Specific information has yet to be confirmed, but it is likely that this mid-sized crossover will be equipped with a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 with 365 horsepower and a 5.0-liter V8 with 420 horsepower. Both of these machines are appearing on many other product lines of the Hyundai group.
