Currently, Kia has kept the specifications secret, but the newly released images clearly show the design of the rookie EV6. Although sharing the same modular platform for E-GMP electric vehicles as the Hyundai Ioniq 5, the Kia EV6 has a different appearance.
The EV6 carries with it the design philosophy of Opposites United that will be used by all future Kia vehicles.
In front of the Kia EV6 is an impressive and attractive design headlamp cluster, along with a hook-shaped LED daytime running light strip. Kia’s signature “tiger nose” grille has evolved into a “digital tiger face” when combined with the light clusters.
The front windshield is designed to recline low, while the wide hips, combined with the door leg contours and sloping C-pillars, create a sporty, solid physique for the electric crossover.
The LED taillights also have a rather sophisticated design, stylish without being cumbersome.
The interior also has a different style from current Kia models and has a curved screen stretching, connecting the instrument cluster with the navigation screen and supporting the information – entertainment system.
The EV6 has a simple two-spoke steering wheel, similar to the design on Genesis models (Hyundai’s luxury car brand), like the GV80. Controlling the HVAC system is done via touch-screen keys with vibration feedback. Kia also says that the EV6 seats are made of recycled plastic.
The car will be officially launched in the next few days.
