David Patterson from ThatDudeInBlue brings his modified S550 Ford Mustang GT to Vaughn Gittin Jr’s RTR shop to take it to the next level.
David Patterson, who runs the ThatDudeInBlue YouTube channel, decided it was time to take his 750-HP S550 Ford Mustang GT to the next level. While the car itself comes with an impressive amount of power courtesy of National Speed, David felt that his Ford needed a new, more aggressive look.
Since David and Vaughn Gittin Jr. have known each other for many years, it felt like a natural choice to pay an RTR shop in Charlotte a pᴀssing visit. While there, David’s Ford Mustang S550 underwent a full transformation and left the shop looking like a completely new car. David was lucky to bump into Gittin Jr. and he treated David to a shop tour as well as getting a sneaky peak at some top-secret projects.
David Patterson And Vaughn Gittin Jr. Go A Long Way Back
It was fun watching the two drivers reminisce on their first encounter. While David is much younger, both started their driving adventures at the same abandoned shopping mall. David learned to drive his car there, while Vaughn perfected his drifting skills in the same car park.
The RTR shop in Charlotte is the headquarters of Gittin Jr’s company specializing in Ford vehicle modifications. This is where Vaughn builds his drift machines, and his off-road racing cars and together with his team develops aftermarket parts for fast Ford vehicles.
Vaughn Gittin Jr. Reveals Top Secret Project
While showing David around the RTR shop, Vaughn took David to a secret part of it where new vehicles are being developed. There, behind some screens and under a cover, sat a next-generation 2024 Ford Mustang S650. Vaughn teased the vehicle by lifting the corner of the cover and revealing a matte-silver Mustang with new headlights, a new front bumper, and aggressive air intakes. The mystery Ford Mustang will officially reveal to the public sometime this coming summer.
During the shop tour, we get to see to a collection of Vaughn’s cars, including all his drifting Mustangs and racing Broncos. There is even his own Ford Mustang Mach-E which he claims is his favorite car – quite a difference from a 1,000 HP screaming drift machine. Among many cars, Vaughn keeps a highly modified Nissan R32 GT-R which was one of his childhood dream cars.
The 750-HP Ford Mustang S550 Finally Has The Looks To Match The Power
After a day spent at RTR, David’s Ford Mustang S550 overwent a complete transformation. The car has a new front lip, new RTR lights, and new, 20-inch RTR rims making the car look completely different. Although those sound like small changes, the visual effect is huge and the S550 now looks like a completely different car.
