Because of her pᴀssion for this unspoiled land, Jill Bliss almost spent all her life savings to discover colorful mushrooms.
Jill Bliss is an artist, naturalist, teacher, and farmer with a pᴀssion for unclaimed land. That’s why she gave up her job as a designer in New York, to a small sea located on Salish Island, in the western Pacific Ocean.
During a trip to this island, Jill accidentally discovered a wonderful vegetation, which is colorful mushrooms. She started cooking the idea of arranging them into a picture of nature, called “Nature Medley”.
To create a pH๏τo, Jill arranged mushrooms and some other plants alternately creating a balance of colors. Each piece can represent a different theme, then she starts looking for mushrooms of various sizes, shapes, colors and textures and then sтιтches them together inspired by nature.
Because of her love for mushrooms so great that in 2012, Jill sold her apartment and almost everything she owned to live in a place completely separate from her busy life.
Jill Bliss wrote: “I have spent all my savings over the years to come to a small piece of land with only 30 households living. I am satisfied with my life in harmony with nature here. A place where I can freely create art, eat, sleep, rest, read books, go boating, enjoy the scenery and have fun with wild animals.” Check out more pH๏τos of Jill Bliss:
