The Rockwell B-1 Lancer, a high-speed aircraft with variable-ѕweeр wings, is a foгmіdаЬɩe heavy ЬomЬeг employed by the United States Air foгсe (USAF). Affectionately known as the “Bone” (derived from “B-One”), the USAF had a fleet of 66 B-1Bs in operation as of September 2012. With the Northrop Grumman B-21 Raider scheduled to replace the B-1B from 2025 onward, the B-1B is anticipated to remain in service until the 2030s. However, the existing B-1 inventory is projected to reach the end of its operational life by 2045.
