The late Paul Walker himself designed the car to his personal specifications, with no stickers, decals, or crazy paint colors. Now, the iconic movie car could be yours.
The one-of-one Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R driven by Paul Walker in Fast and Furious is up for grabs through Bonhams.
The late Paul Walker himself designed the car to his personal specifications, with no stickers, decals, or crazy paint colors.
Today, it’s undoubtedly one of the world’s most iconic pieces of automotive and cinematic history.
This very car starred in Fast and Furious 4, in which Brian O’Conner (played by Walker) chose it for a high-stakes street race.
The car goes on to be used for smuggling across the Mexican border before being blown up in a fireball.
Fortunately, the car seen bursting into flames was a replica.
There were several vehicles used to represent the blue Skyline in the film, but all of them, bar the one currently up for sale, were merely empty body shells.
What makes this car even more special is just how much it was modified to be exactly what Paul Walker wanted.
Walker, who tragically died in 2013, was a true car enthusiast, much like his on-screen persona.
As both a racer and avid collector, he had strong opinions on both the cosmetic and mechanical enhancements for the Skyline.
For starters, he wanted all vinyls and exterior decorations to be removed to highlight the clean, classic lines of the car.
He even asked for a custom-built roll cage and the rear fog light to be changed from red to a white lens.
And inside, he requested an $10,000 dashboard monitor where the route for his street races would be mapped out.
Of course, the car was modified by Kaizo Industries to his exact wishes.
The driver’s bucket seat also remains fixed in the position last used by Walker during the filming of Fast and Furious 4.
Under the relatively sober body lives a true performance beast.
The 2.6-liter twin-turbo straight-six engine was tweaked with the addition of a new intercooler.
The car has actually been an exhibit at the Munich Motorworld for the past couple of years.
Now, it’s being offered to the highest bidder over at Bonhams and may return to the US.
The highest bid currently sits at $1,160,000.
