The customized version of the Rolls-Royce Cullinan is exquisitely crafted by the British automaker and inspired by the Kármán line that separates the Earth’s atmosphere from the infinite space of the universe.
As defined by the Fédération aéronautique internationale , the Kármán line is the term used to define the boundary between the Earth’s atmosphere and the universe. Above sea level, the Kármán road is 62 miles, or about 100 km, and looks like a dark blue transition. From this inspiration, Rolls-Royce’s Black Badge manufacturing unit created the Cullinan Blue Shadow in a limited run of just 62 models worldwide.
For the first time in the history of the British luxury car company, Rolls-Royce used two different hole sizes to form the design on the leather seats of 62 Rolls-Royce Cullinan Blue Shadow models. These perforations form the basis of the design of the 62 limited edition Cullinan models, and represent the Earth, ocean, and clouds that can be seen from beyond Kármán Street.
Kármán lines continue to appear soft across the dashboard of the Rolls-Royce Cullinan Blue Shadow. According to the design unit, this place is a combination of 5 different shades of blue combined with 6 layers of paint. On top, a clear topcoat is applied and combined with glᴀss beads to give this model’s dashboard a truly distinctive depth and shine.
This design is kept seamlessly up to the ceiling, which Rolls-Royce calls the “edge of space” with a total of 1,183 white and blue fiber optic lights that intertwine to give the impression of a starry sky. The remarkable highlight of the ceiling of the Rolls-Royce Cullinan Blue Shadow is the hand-embroidered moon image with a total of 250,000 sтιтches and takes up to 2 days to complete
On the outside, 62 Rolls-Royce Cullinan Blue Shadows are coated with Stardust Blue to replicate the colors found at the edge of space. The grille is finished with a matte finish, while the front bumper is inspired by the insulation panels used on the space shuttle. The Spirit of Ecstasy emblem is crafted from тιтanium by 3D printing and finished with a thin layer of blue paint.
The 62 owners of the Rolls-Royce Cullinan Blue Shadow are also given a unique set of luggage with the car along with a cover similar to the leather upholstery. In addition, Rolls-Royce also offers a 1:8 scale Cullinan Blue Shadow model with interior and exterior lighting that works similar to the regular version.
Currently, the British luxury car company has not yet revealed the official selling price for the Rolls-Royce Cullinan Blue Shadow. However, this SUV is only sold exclusively through private offices for VIP customers. It is known that this is a place that allows Rolls-Royce car owners to customize their car model anytime, anywhere.
