Less than a decade ago, it was still too far away for the Chinese to make luxury cars when they were constantly “sticking” to plagiarizing product designs of major car manufacturers in the world. Chinese cars usually only target the low-cost segment.
Now, things have turned around when many large Chinese corporations spend billions of dollars to invest in developing luxury cars with the leading unit being the national and national brand Hongqi (Hong Ky). Guangzhou Automobile (GAC) has also raised its own brand in the past time with the newly launched Trumpchi GS8 2021.
At the present time, GAC Trumpchi GS8 2021 has 2 engine options, including: turbocharged 2.0L I4 engine with a capacity of 252 horsepower, 400Nm of torque, front-wheel drive; and 2.0L turbocharged I4 engine using Toyota’s hybrid technology for a capacity of 190 horsepower at the front wheel and 54 horsepower at the rear axle.
The appearance of the large Chinese SUV looks quite modern with the square, muscular style typical of American full-size SUVs such as Cadillac Escalade, Lincoln Navigator or GMC Yukon. The large heatsink comes in two designs, one as standard and one that extends all the way down to the front bumper. This is probably the way to distinguish the standard version from the hybrid version.
The side of the car continues to choose a square style that combines simple but effective planes. While the rear is reminiscent of Range Rover thanks to the taillights, below are dual exhaust pipes and diffusers located in the rear bumper.
GAC Trumpchi GS8 2021 interior is quite rich in technology when combining a 12.25-inch digital dashboard and a large 14.6-inch central screen, where users manipulate most of the features that the car owns. The center console appears to feature wireless phone charging. GAC Trumpchi GS8 2021 has a standard price of $ 24,450, while the most advanced version can be approximately $ 30,000.
