This $4m Bulgarian hypercar is faster than the Bugatti Chiron ‎

Watch out, Bugatti, there’s a new contender in the ring.

This is the Unum.

It’s a hypercar made by a Bulgarian company called Alieno.

And Alieno claims it’s more powerful and faster than the Bugatti Chiron.

The top speed of the high-performance variant is reportedly 585km/h (363 mph).

Everything about the car sounds over-elaborate and vaguely comical, in a good way.

Alieno certainly has a sense of humor.

CHECK IT OUT!

The powertrain is electric, and what makes it funny is the company refers to it as the Octopus Synergistic System.

Part of the Octopus Synergistic System are the battery-powered motors.

The battery-powered motors are called THF, which stands for The Heavenly Founder.

Amazing.

According to Alieno, the Unum will be available with four different powertrain options: RP2, RP3, RP4 and RP5, where RP stands for Raw Power. Obviously.

The ‘entry-level’ RP2 delivers 2,610 with two electric motors whereas the range-topping RP5 has 24 motors, six for each wheel, for a combined power output of 5,221 hp.

Speaking of the range-topping model, we know that it has a 180 kWh battery pack, but unfortunately they didn’t say anything about range.

The car is supposed to be more powerful than the Ferrari 296 GTB, the Lambo Huracan STO and the Porsche 911 GT3 RS put together, and you need a lot of juice for that.

While it sounds incredible, you’ll be paying for it.

This is a very expensive car, priced at $1.8 million for the base model, and $4.5 million for the one with all the bells and whistles.

That’s bad.

But not as bad as the fact that this car doesn’t seem to exist.

The problem is the company has done it before.

Back in 2018, Alieno launched an identical hypercar with identical specs and performance figures called the ‘Arcanum’.

The pictures, just like today, were high-quality 3D renderings but the car never made it to production.

Alieno says the Unum will be available from 2025.

Let’s wait and see.
